"The proof is the pad Thai and once our dishes hit the table, it's clear why the place is packed with enthusiastic regulars....
Charm isn't the only decent Thai place in Melbourne, but it's certainly one of the best"

" Thai tucker is entrenched in Australian eating out. But it's often untidily presented and lazily cooked. So let's welcome Charm with more enthusiasm than a Bangkok street protest. Everything I tried from its list was fresh and generous. Flavours were lively and balanced. A modest shopfront place, Charm was the spiccest and spannest restaurant I've seen recently...

eat : 12/15, drink: 8/10, value: 9/10, staff: 7/10, style: 3/5
score: 39 out of 50
Would I go back? Immediately...

"It had to happen: a cute, moderately priced, wine-savvy inner-suburban restaurant with great Thai food. But boy, have we waited. Charm has style and substance with an approach that eschews commercial levels of sugar and coconut milk to hit the bullseye. But ask for your food ' Thai-style ' in case they tone it down unnecessarily.."

"There's something about Melbourne that seem to repel really good and authentic Thai food, which makes the bright, stylish and characteristically
(for Thai people) modest Charm so very welcome. Where sugar, coconut cream and salmon-pink napkins so typically prevail, Charm is real deal. Some of the best Thai food in Melbourne, no question.."
